That doesn't seem correct. I use a WD15 dock and it causes my PCH temps to hover around 40-45 degrees C. The system fan kicks on when the PCH reaches 43 degrees and doesn't turn back off until it drops to 36 degrees. I have i7 740qm and temp of phc go to 80 degrees max temp according to intel site is 100 degrees for this cpu ,and yes iam talking about chipset or PHC .

I checked a few different monitoring programs and they seem to agree the SYSTEM is 56-60C at all times, which I'm guessing is the PCH, and the BIOS reports close to the same. Anything above that, especially in the 90°C zone, and you’re asking for throttling and failure to occur. Check your other temperatures. I'm running all of the latest drivers from the Dell site and have tried DPM already.
