But the films, scores, character was great for me.I mean for example ,Simone character (with her apartment), Sou-chef character (I barely can't remember his name)And just for the recommendation. Not trying to be a snob, but I have a useless degree in musical theatre that I no longer use but did have extensive training on accents, speech, and dialect and it was very obvious to me that it was less than legit.I guess I’m just wondering if anyone else noticed. (Not a rom-com movies, or mainstream tv show) Thanks!I haven’t read the book yet but from what I understand, Tess’s infatuation with Simone and Jake was the driving story so it makes sense that it would be in the show too.My issue is though, Jake is such a boring, barely developed, trope of a character in the show that Tess being so drawn to him feels unwarranted and I don’t feel the slightest bit invested in her relationship with him.
